The Bulletin presented factual and statistical information in an analysis of state administered taxes. It contained news briefs, court decisions, tax revenue trends, monthly tabulations of tax collections, statistical maps, and a "featured" subject tax. Included were a monthly tax calendar, comparative (fiscal year) statements for taxes, sales tax collections by name of county and previous fiscal year, and the number of taxpayers and amounts paid, by county. Featured taxes were ad valorem, store license, vehicle registration, sales, income, gasoline, corporation, franchise, permit, privilege and automobile licenses, tobacco and stamp, financial institution excise, motor carrier mileage, and forest product severance taxes. An explanation of the tax, a graph showing retrospective data, and tabulations are given for each tax. The Bulletin was designed for public information.
